Embrace Mortality with this Scorpio New Moon
Under this Scorpio New Moon, we're being called to reflect on our own mortality as a way to uncover what truly matters. Though it may feel intense or even macabre, these moments of deep introspection offer clarity and can spark profound, transformative change.
This New Moon, in Scorpio—the zodiac's most ever-changing sign—coincides with the Day of the Dead (or All Saints Day in other cultures), amplifying the significance of legacy.
If you’re willing to face the reality of your finite existence through ritual and reflection, you'll gain powerful clarity on how you wish to be remembered and the steps need to ensure you are worthy of your greatest legacy.
Mortality Ritual
In this reflective exercise, you'll be guided to write your own obituary, detailing how you want to be remembered and what legacy you wish to leave behind. The goal is to gain clarity on the person you aspire to be and the impact you hope to make. From there, you'll begin releasing habits and traits that hold you back, while amplifying the qualities that align with your highest vision.

Directions
WRITE YOUR OBITUARY
In a meditative state, write your own obituary, focusing on the most significant achievements of your life. Reflect deeply on the milestones and character traits that capture the true essence of your lifetime and the lasting impact you've made. Let your imagination run free, envisioning the grandest version of your life's legacy.
CONSIDER WHO YOU WILL BECOME
On a blank sheet of paper, describe the kind of person you need to become to fully embody the legacy you've envisioned. Identify the habits and traits you'd need to let go of, and outline the actions you'd take to grow into this future self.
WRITE A LIST
On a new sheet of paper, make a detailed list of the negative traits you'd like to let go of. Be as specific as possible about any toxic or unhelpful habits. As you write, allow yourself to fully feel the emotional weight of carrying these behaviors.
CARVE INTO THE CANDLE
Carve into the white candle the positive qualities you want to cultivate or enhance. As you carve, feel the joy and excitement of these traits already being a part of you, letting that energy guide each word you inscribe.
SET UP THE CANDLE
Swipe anointing oil on the candle from top to bottom to amplify the intention. Light the candle facing north and allow it to fully extinguish.
ENVISION YOUR HIGHEST SELF
Sit in front of the candle and immerse yourself in the feeling of becoming the highest version of yourself that you’ve envisioned. Embrace the sensation that you are already that person, both in this moment and as you move forward. Complete this part when you feel called.
BURN THE OBIT AND LIST
If possible, burn and release the papers that contain the obituary and the negative traits and step fully into your reinvented self through the grace and power of this ritual and the Scorpio New Moon.
